The first round of the NBA playoffs is just over half way finished and the Boston Celtics have become the first team to move on to the second round with a game four victory over a lifeless Indiana Pacers team.
I mean the Pacers didn’t even seem to put up a fight and let the Celtics steamroll them over the course of the four game series.
The Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers and Toronto Raptors all extended their series leads to three games over one Sunday night as well.
The Raptors man handled the Orlando Magic with a final score of 107 – 85. The Magic haven’t been able to compete against the Raptors since winning the first game and don’t look like they will be able to hold off the Raptors in the next game to even make a series comeback.
The Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder matchup is entirely different due to a flat out playoff grind between the Blazers’ Damien Lillard and OKC’s Russell Westbrook. The Trail Blazers may be up three games to one but that’s no indication on how this series will end.
Monday night will possibly wrap up two first round series for both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Houston Rockets if either team can secure a win. Between the Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz, the Jazz seem more likely not to go down without a fight if the Rockets cannot bury the Jazz early on.
